Class E1 licenses are designated for one day events sponsored by non-for profit organizations.
Class E3 licenses are designated for events held on the Kane County Fairgrounds.
Class E2 licenses are designated for one day events held by businesses that hold a Class B or Class C liquor license only.
Class E4 licenses are designated for events in which alcoholic beverages will be sold and consumed on city-owned property, including but not limited to 1st Street Plaza.
Class E5 licenses are generally designated for a series of 20 one day events within a calendar year at specific premises.
Class E6 licenses are designated for events running until 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m.
Class E7 licenses are designated for events held by businesses with a Class A2 or Class B2 liquor license only.
Class E8 licenses are designated for events sponsored by or conducted at the St. Charles History Museum.
BYOB Applications:
Class F1 & F2 licenses are designated for establishments that desire to allow carry-in, or bring-your-own alcoholic beverages on premises.
New Liquor License:
New liquor license applications should be submitted to the City Administration Office. Please ensure that the application is complete and all required submittals are attached, including a $200 nonrefundable application fee.
Completed applications will be considered by the Liquor Control Commission, Government Operations Committee, and the City Council for final approval.
The licensing period corresponds with the City's fiscal year (May 1 through April 30). Licenses are valid through April 30. Renewal applications are required for the following licensing year.
